Announcing The Island LIVE official closing party

The 1st of April might be one big April Fool’s Day LOL, but for us the date is no laughing matter as we host The Island LIVE official closing party (!) and one final blowout at our stunning Sydney harbour location.

For the past 6 months we have showcased some of Australia’s leading electronic artists alongside a couple of extra special international guests… all hosted on a secluded floating pontoon with a few hundred new friends for company. Since October, Boys Noize, Bag Raiders, Roland Tings, The Aston Shuffle, Motez, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Kilter have headlined our exclusive monthly series, presented all the way by V MoVement.

To ensure that we see off the season in spectacular style we’ve recruited a few key members of the seminal Australian record labelSweat It Out, headlined by Bondi-housers and label co-owners/A&R Yolanda Be Cool. The king of the samples just popped out their new single 'From Me to You' with ol’ mate D Cup and it’s already topping all the right charts just like the platinum-selling ‘Sugar Man’did before it. You might have also heard YBC’s breakthrough single ‘We No Speak Americano’ as well. No? Oh don’t be silly.

Having exploded onto the scene last year with their triple j endorsed debut single ‘Horses’, SIO label mates Porsches will be spinning some choons alongside SIO super babe Danny T. Our unofficial Island LIVE residents Set Mo also return one last time having absolutely nailed it twice throughout the season. Expect many more TUNE (towel) moments from the ‘White Dress’ weapons ;)

It wouldn’t be a closing party without a TROPICOOL dress up theme so we wanna see plenty of calypso shirts, pineapple pants, Hawaiian lays and fruity get ups! Tickets won’t hang around for long, so please get in quick to avoid disappointment.
