Q&A with Motez

If you're anything like us, you would have found it almost impossible to keep up with the rapid evolution of Motez. The Adelaide based, internationally renowned producer is hitting The Island LIVE tonight, which sold out in record time. We caught up for a quick chat to get all the goss, check it out;

After touring the first thing I do when I get home is ... Go down to my local coffee shop and have a nice latte (shout outs to Ginger's Coffee)

At Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, playing in front of 25 000 people, I was really thinking about... How things have changed from the days back in Baghdad making music in my bedroom and not having a place to play it at.
My favourite thing about being part of the Sweat It Out fam is... Danny T, no in all seriousness it's the true sense of family and togetherness the label has.
The best thing about playing Holy Ship this year was... Being stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean with thousands of music-crazy people with no phone reception, nobody is looking at their Instagram, nobody is Snapchatting, just dancing to the music and enjoying the moment.
And my tips for playing on a boat are.... That it's a marathon, not a sprint. pace yourself throughout the 3 days.
My favourite festival moment from 2015 was... Playing at EDC Las Vegas in front of thousands of people, that was truly magical.
My favourite thing about being part of the Electronic music scene in Aus is... So much talent that's spilling overseas and lots of great characters and good people, for a geographically big country I think the scene is more like a small family.
This year I’m most excited about... releasing more and more new music and honing my FIFA talents!
If I was trapped on a deserted island the three things I would wish for are... my music laptop, speakers and an endless supply of coffee.

If you were lucky enough to grab a ticket, make sure you get down early to catch Olympic Ayers and Set Mo hit the decks on sunset. And don't worry if you missed out, you check out his huge new track 'Down Like This' feat. Tkay Maidza.
